There are a lot of changes taking place in my life. It is true what they say, as you get older what was important in your youth seems to take a back seat. All of a sudden, your priorities change and your life heads in a new direction.
I've never been one to be on a straight life path ... I like an adventure .... I've taken quite a few "wrong" turns, so to speak, some conscious and some unconscious .... okay maybe that would be "consciously ignoring the signs!" lol Still .... life is good!
A recent new change for me is that I have decided to no longer hide my wisdom. No more trips to the hair salon for hair colouring!
It is taking quite some time for my "wisdom" to flourish! lol So far, I seem to have the patience for the process to complete itself.
On the quilting front .... I am in a completion mode. I've been tackling UFOs and cleaning out stuff I am no longer passionate about.
I have FINALLY finished the mystery quilt I blogged about here. Penelope and I spent some quality time together on Monday! ;)
The binding is sewn on, now it's a question of finishing the hand stitching ... another of my favourite part of quilting. I will admit, there isn't much about the quilting process that I don't enjoy. How about you?
Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy your day! Cheers!

love your new look, mine has been white since my 40's
The hard part is waiting for it to grow out, lol.
I tried dying my hair a few times, too much trouble and it just grows out.
I also am tired of letting people cut my hair and not being happy, I basically tell them how to cut it, but it seems they have no idea how to cut hair now, so growing it back out and will cut it myself.
I like all parts of quilting but not cranky machines, really need the time to sit down and figure out tension on my new quilter so I can finish some quilts.

Yay! I made that move about 5 years ago and aside from the little girl who called me an old lady, it's been good LOL. Besides, it's been really trendy for the younger girls to dye their hair gray. Why on earth you would want gray at 30, I'll never know, but apparently we're really fashionable now! I love all parts of quilting. Well, maybe not the basting, but otherwise ... can't wait to see your quilt!
Congratulations on "embracing your wisdom". I embraced mine about 8 years ago and have never regretted it. Enjoy!
Just colour it grey and you won't have to live thru the growth......
Nice quilt from what I can see.....
I've been waiting for the majority of my roots to head in the right direction, grayish, so I can stop adding color and go natural. It looks like you have beautiful white hair coming in. Lovely! It's all the rage to go natural and many women have been choosing cute shorter hairstyles to help make the transition move more quickly. I had my hair cut in a short C shaped bob and then used a color that fades as I wash, to help ease the transition in color while it grows out. I enjoy making the quilt tops more than the quilting part. Hand sewing on the bindings is something I enjoy. Along with my aging hair, lol, my aging eyes make cutting accurately a challenge. I need a ruler with larger numbers and bolder lines. Your latest quilt is a beauty.
Looking great, I have also decided to stop all this coloring and go grey but am doing it gradually. Dont want to shock everyone with all the sudden wisdom I have been hiding all these years.
