After two hours of cleaning, this is what my kitchen now looks like!
Love me a clean kitchen! Don't you dare touch anything! lol
I tried two different zucchini bread recipes. This one is from King Arthur Flour and is called Whole Wheat Zucchini Nut Bread.
It's quite dark and that's due to my using molasses as oppose to honey. They gave me a choice and I went for black strap molasses, which is high in iron! The bread is good and certainly healthy! I like this recipe but not DD.
Another bread recipe is from the website Family Food and Travel and is called The Best Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread.
This has become a favourite with DD! I modified the recipe and added 1/2 cup of chopped walnut.... gotta love that food processor! I have made several batches of this bread and plan on freezing it. Of course I will send some home with whom ever comes to visit me! ;o) Let's not forget the muffins too!
Would you be surprised if I told you that I am stuffed from tasting all of these various recipes? I need a zucchini break!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Oh man, I wish you lived near me -- I planted two zucchini plants (should be plenty for 2, right) and one yellow squash and -- nothing! They got some sort of wilt or something and one little zuke plant is still hanging on by the hair of it's chinny chin chin. It has two teeny little zukes on it, but I can tell one is drying up and going to go nowhere. Hoping for better luck with that other little mite. Consider yourself VERY lucky to be drowning LOL. And your kitchen is GORGEOUS!!!!
That is what my kitchen looks like when I am baking, but then I clean it all up, lol. Now if I could just get my family to see things that way;) The bread looks delicious, I make pineapple banana bread since i can make that without sugar and it tastes good to me.

It is that time of the year when we are all baking because of our gardens. Isn't it fun to play around?????
