Well, I was planning on writing a blog entry about a trip I had booked to Long Lake, New York. I was leaving today for a bit of r & r mixed with business. However, life has a way of changing ones plans unexpectedly!
This morning, as I was preparing my bags and all, Stephen rushed into my sewing room yelling some colourful adjectives. Dripping, he tells me that "I drove a chisel through my hand". Yes, off to the emergency we went. He now requires surgery to re-attach the tendon to the mid section of his index finger, which needs to take place within 48 hours. And they say rotary cutters are dangerous!
So, in lieu of a post on the beauty of Long Lake, New York, I will share with you a recent penny rug I completed! ;o)
The pattern is called Spooky Cat Candle Mat by Stacy West of Buttermilk Basin!
I love the way it turned out! My little Pumpkin helped me out by stitching two (2) of the mouths! :)
Have I mentioned that I'm hooked on wool?! Yep, like I needed more hand work projects! lol
And you know what? He looks great with my cauldron candle! ;o)
Thanks for stopping by! Boo!

I'd rather think about the mat. Cute as can be for fall decorating!
Ouch indeed! I hope his surger goes well.
I hope they can fix him up with minimal damage, ouch.
Hopefully you can get back up there another day, looks like you will need a day to relax;) Love your new piece, have always loved that design.
