Have you seen this book by Kathleen Tracy?
I didn't know when I purchased the book, but it is from the same author of the Civil War Sewing Circle & Prairie Children and their Quilts! No wonder I love it!
Lately I've been on a mission to reduce my 19 century reproduction scraps. There's nothing like starting a new project to get the creative juices flowing....
So....
I'm seeing orange peels!
I've always wanted to make one of these quilts and.... besides
I needed a new hand applique project to keep me out of trouble occupied!
As I type this post, I have 22 made! Forty two (42) more to go!
Penelope and I have had a couple of play dates! I'm looking forward to showing you some finished hand applique quilts!
Off to hand sew some bindings! ;o)
Thank you so much for stopping by! Keep well!

I have long admired this quilt...I will really enjoy seeing your progress!!
That looks like a fun project! I have the book - I should start making one too!
That is going to be gorgeous with those fabrics.
I love to have a hand project to do at night, but I tend to hand sew more than on the machine. I got the apple core die, but didn't realize how big it was, so guess I have to learn how to machine sew curves without making myself nuts;)

JUST BEAUTIFUL!
THANKS FOR SHARING!
LOVE FROM MONTANA!

Aren't her books great? I'm still trying to meet my goal of making all the quilts in Prairie Children . . . I'll get there someday and then I think orange peel will be next on my list *s*
What an interesting looking book. I will have to be on the lookout for that one.
How big will this quilt be? It will be beautiful.
